Before I met David, I purchased the gear for my home theatre from the manager of a well respected A/V store on the peninsula.  …I remember my wife calling me on my cell and saying in total frustration “All I want to do is play a DVD through the system!” She had hit a wrong button on one of the 6 remote controls and I had no idea what to tell her.

I purchased a true universal remote control but I hit a wall after spending just a couple of hours with it.  I called the manager back and said – “I wish there was someone who could come out and program this remote to run everything.” He said there is – and he referred me to David at In Home Audio Video.

David came out with his laptop and in a couple of hours was able to custom program the remote I had purchased to the point where I was literally able to put 7 remotes back in my cabinet! He has it to the point where the touch of one button will not only turn on all the necessary components, but change the inputs to the correct settings to watch and listen to whatever we like. He then gave me and my family lessons on the simple operation of the remote.  My wife and I were thrilled!  He also changed some settings on the components which allowed us to experience their full capabilities as part of a home theatre system. My friends couldn’t believe it when they came over and saw that the one remote was fully capable of handling all the components in the system, as well as my room lighting and ceiling fan.

We have since referred David to three of our friends who have all been as thrilled as we have been with what he has done to simplify the operation of our home theatre systems. As he also designs home theatre systems, we are now working with him to upgrade our gear.  We couldn’t be happier with the results of his work for us and I would highly recommend In Home Audio Video to anyone that needs help with their audio/video purchase, setup or remote programming.
